Timber Lane Allergy and Asthma Research, LLC, was founded in 1999 and is a state of the art research facility. We are experienced in both adult and pediatric clinical trials. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent care and a comfortable environment to our study subjects. We also have an experienced support staff. In addition to our team, two physicians in the Private Practice serve as Sub-Investigators. All clinical team members are CPR certified. The site is well equipped to manage the day-to-day operations of Clinical Research. We maintain specialized equipment for our clinical investigations.
We offer extended hours for subject visits, including evenings and Saturdays.

Edward F. Kent, Jr., MD

 Dr. Kent’s interest in medical research developed after graduating from Boston College, while working at Tufts New England Medical Center in an immunology laboratory. He continued his research interests while attending medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Following a Residency in Pediatrics at Yale New Haven Hospital he pursued a Fellowship in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Duke University.

He moved to Vermont in 1989 and joined the Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology Practice Group. In 1994 he began conducting research trials out of this Practice.

In 1999 he founded Timber Lane Allergy and Asthma Research, LLC, a dedicated research site. Research interests include asthma, COPD, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, migraine headache, allergy immunotherapy, and urticaria.

He has been the Principal Investigator for over 100 phase II-IV pediatric and adult trials. Dr. Kent is a Certified Principal Investigator. He has completed ongoing training for the protection of human subjects through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) as well as the Society of Principal Investigators and The University of Vermont. He has a teaching appointment at the University of Vermont School of Medicine.

Lynne Moon: Clinical Research Coordinator/Supervisor

Lynne has been an LPN since 1984 and became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) with the ACRP in 2001. She has been a member of the ACRP since 1996. She has certification with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Lynne is Responsible for Supervising the day-to-day operations of the clinical research program and providing administrative, clinical and technical support to research activities. She has an extensive background in Asthma and Allergy Research working with Dr. Kent on Clinical Trials since 1994.

Lynne is also the regional pollen counter. Having completed courses in Aerobiology in 2007 and 2010. She provides pollen counts found on this website to the local news station as well as The Weather Channel™.

Ita Brown: Administrative Coordinator

 

Ita has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has been working in her field since 1987. She is responsible for the timely preparation and submission of Regulatory/IRB Documents and their upkeep; contract and budget negotiations and their maintenance; CRO/Sponsor correspondence; management of patient records; and all other administrative office tasks. Ita has been with Research since February 2002.

 

 

 

Anne Coote: Clinical Research Coordinator

 

Anne has been a Medical Assistant since 1990, with an extensive background in Family Medicine. She Specializes in Patient care, Electronic data capture, Specimen processing, Phlebotomy and many other aspects of the day to day clinical operations of Research. She has been IATA Certified since 2005. She has been a member of the ACRP since 2004. She has had extensive training in ICH/GCP guidelines. Anne has been a part of the research team for 11 years.

 

 

Emily Kimball: Recruitment Coordinator/Clinical Assistant

 

Emily is the newest member of our team. She received her BA from St. Michaels College in 2012. Emily specializes in Public and Patient Relations, Recruitment, Database/Record Management, and Advertising. She also assists with Patient care. She has completed Training in ICH/GCP Guidelines. Emily joined the Research Team in February, 2013.
